A Project 365 is a challenge to take (at least) one photo every day for a year. I took on this challenge in 2014(see summary post here!) and I encourage you to do the same if you are looking for a way to improve your photography. You can use your phone or your camera, or a combination(that’s what I did) – it’s not the type of camera that matters, but the consistency of capturing a moment or two every day.
At the end of the year you could put your photographs into a book(which is something I do every year anyway) and/or you could make a fun little video:
Or you can view them this way:

He really wanted to bring his yellow car along.

you’ve likely already seen this one… but it’s one of my favourites from my latest maternity shoot. It was taken with the 85mm.
Tamron 16-300. It’s also a macro lens, not bad!
July:
Full team gear sent from Shanghai from my awesome uncle Hilaire! Nuni and I watched the game today while Shasta napped.
This one was taken with the Tamron lens. One thing I missed about not having a wide angle was capturing whole rooms in our house. I love that this one can “see” so much of my surroundings.
It was awesome!
We rode the trolley for the first time
I just love fireweed!
A black bear on the way to Whitehorse
my “happy time” of the day…
today we made playdough! Shasta loved it!
We found Daddy on our walk!
Nuni was invited to jam with this great band. They later invited him to play at their gig, and he played the whole hour with them!

On Saturday Nuni played in a soccer tournament with friends from his elementary school. He and Shasta got to raise the flag 🙂
He loves to say “Where are you?!” and then giggles with delight when we say it back! “Hiding” is his favourite game.
Another “where are you?” game in the hammock today.
Shasta got a “boo-boo” at the playground this day – he managed to face plant the sand by diving over a swing, and then getting hit in the back of the head by it! He was pretty upset for about three minutes, then got right back on the swing.

our kitchen. it’s small, but I love it – its size helps me to keep it clean and organized! You can’t let the dishes pile up when there’s nowhere to put them! 🙂
Our first visitor!! My friend Heather Elliott from Ontario. We had a wonderful two days together!
You will see many shots from the park near our house that we visit once or twice a day!

Mangoes are my favourite fruit. I eat one almost every day.
One day we decided to skip Shasta’s afternoon nap, but as you can see he needed one after all.
Monkeys at the park. We had some food we were tempting them with! Shasta was so excited about it although when they eventually took his apple he stood there and cried, “Myyyy a-pullll!”
At a beach in a neighbourhood called Santo Antonio.
I know these flowers as “frangipani”, but here they are called “jasmine”

Aren’t the pink and yellow ones so pretty? They smell so good too.

Shasta is being such a good big brother. He loves to hug and kiss him. Sometimes he brings him toys to “play” with. It’s so cute.
