Today was an absolutely lovely day. Due to the Family Day holiday in BC, I had the morning off of work so I claimed it as a true day off and took Shasta to daycare. I have done this once before and both times have been so wonderful. You all know how I love my little boy to pieces; how could you not with a face like this?
But everyone needs a break sometimes, and I enjoyed mine very much today. I did some cleaning, some crafting, some cooking… all uninterrupted! We had a couple of fun hours together when I picked him up, which included him running around in the nude:
(These pics are in reverse order, but whatev.) Shasta learned how to say “moon” yesterday – so cute. I love every new word he says. I took this when we were walking home from daycare. It was somewhere around -33 but he was totally happy to be outside. Thankfully it was short-lived.
I also went for a walk with Lucy! It was so cold but the sun was shining, the sky was blue and I wanted to take some pictures for today’s theme(It’s Still Winter)! Boy, is it ever!
I finished off my wonderful day by watching the movie “About Time”. Oh my goodness. What a classic. I LOVED it so much and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good life appreciation movie! Oh gosh. I can’t wait to watch it again.
And I also made a really delicious easy dinner called “Uova al Purgatorio” which was basically sausage and poached eggs in a delicious tomato sauce. I had it with couscous. Recipe HERE!
Alright! Enough for now – ENJOY your day! Live it well!
That frost is intense!

I LOVE your photography! And I also now feel foolish for bemoaning -18. I don’t even know how to compute negative thirty-something!
