Oi a gente, tudo bem? (Hello people, all is well?) I am loving Brazil more and more every day. It is hard to describe in words how beautiful it is here, how much I am enjoying the warm, bug-free weather, the people, learning Portuguese… it’s just been a great time and we’re not even halfway through our vacation. I feel very blessed to be here and to experience so many wonderful things. Like, how many people get to have a Canadian family AND a Brazilian family? Someday I have to tell you all about how I first came to Brazil and how Nuni and I met. It’s a good story. Anyways, here are some more photos pra vôces :)!
the other morning we took Shasta to this beautiful park. It has some different animals and places to walk and explore, so it was perfect for him. We all really enjoyed it.
this is Nuni’s Dad’s favourite soccer team… unfortunately it is NOT Nuni’s Mom’s favourite soccer team!

That afternoon we went to visit our friends the Cates, an American missionary family I met 5 years ago on my first trip to Floripa. They had 2 gorgeous little girls then. Now they have 8 amazing children! More on this family later! Here’s their huuuuge dog Turk!
two of their girls, Lily and Grace
Nuni playing/singing a couple songs with his friends’ band at a bar
my gorgeous, wonderful mother in law!
Nuni pointed to this and said, “aren’t you glad you’re not on that? You have your own personal tour guide!”
what a view!
I’ll have a Nuni on the rocks

a vendor at Praia Mole. He was a super friendly guy! He makes beautiful jewellery out of seeds and things. If you want me to bring you back something he made, leave me a comment!😉
