The Most Important Thing #8: Petro

I met Petro when I lived in South Africa a few years ago.  We were both on staff with YWAM(Youth With A Mission) in a fantastic little spot called Jeffreys Bay.  She was assigned to be a mentor for me and in the few months that we had this relationship I learned SO MUCH from her.  She encouraged me, challenged me and helped me to grow closer to God.  She is a strong woman with a huge heart and passion for reaching people through the arts.  Needless to say she is someone I admire very much and it’s an honour to have her in the project.

I haven’t seen Petro since I left South Africa but we have kept in touch.  I love these photos that I took of her – she’s one of those natural models that are so fun to take pictures of.  There are so many interesting and beautiful faces in the world and I think that’s what I love capturing most – faces.  Here she is.

What do you believe is the most important thing in life?

As a Christian, I believe you need to live life to the fullest with Christ as the most important figure and to have fun.  To also do the things that are in my heart, using my gifts and talents to be a blessing to the nations.

      Hi Mary!

Well, it was right before we did a special South African dance – to be honest I’m not entirely sure of the significance… most likely Petro knows 🙂
