The Most Important Thing #5: Eugênio

Alright!  Sorry for the lateness!  I just got back from a road trip with Nuni and this week’s “answerer,” my wonderful father-in-law!  I am so excited about the picture I have for you.  On our road trip to Urubici, we visited a lot of different attractions but this place took the cake for weirdest place I’ve ever been to.  They had this crazy huge obstacle/ropes course and all of these random statues… I’m talking soldiers, Santa, dinosaur bones, and oh… the evolution of man.  As soon as I saw it I knew that it would be perfect for Eugenio’s “portrait.”  Perhaps not very challenging/stretching in terms of portrait taking, but I thought it was funny/interesting/different.   Plus I was having a hard time deciding what to do for his portrait.  Some people are easier than others to take pictures of!  Anyways, without further ado, here is my “Pai.”

What do you believe is the most important thing in life?

I believe that the most important thing in life is to wait on God for peace, love and happiness.  For me, peace means being in harmony with everyone around you.  Love means doing charity and to receive respect, dignity and care; and happiness is all of those things put together.

    Dear Lindsay,

This road trip looks like tons of fun. Were you in the rainforest?

    Love, M.

PS. Thanks to your father-in-law for the awesome, insightful answer, too. He sounds great.

M, we were in the mountains in the south of this state, Santa Catarina! It was soooo much fun. I will be posting pictures on my picasa site soon and maybe I will post some on here too.

Also my father in law is amazing. He is a very kind and generous man. I’m so glad Nuni had him as a model for a father.
